I’m Mona, the voice behind Explore a Life.
This blog was born out of my love for travel and my desire to create a life filled with adventure, personal growth, and meaningful experiences—especially as a mom. As much as I adore raising my girls, I also craved something that felt like me—a creative outlet that combined my passion for storytelling, exploring new places, and inspiring others to embrace the journey.
Travel has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. From road trips to international adventures, I’ve always found joy in discovering new places, cultures, and experiences. Even after my daughters arrived, my husband and I made it a priority to keep traveling—whether it was hiking through national parks, exploring hidden gems in Minnesota, or embarking on unforgettable family vacations.
Of course, traveling with kids comes with its challenges, but I’ve learned that adventure doesn’t have to stop when you have a family—it just evolves. Now, I’m passionate about helping other moms and families see that travel is possible, even with little ones in tow.
Between weekend getaways, school break adventures, and the occasional solo trip, we’re always planning our next journey. And through Explore a Life, I hope to inspire you to do the same—to step out of your comfort zone, embrace new experiences, and create a life filled with exploration and growth.

One thing I’ve always known for sure—I find my deepest happiness when traveling and exploring the outdoors. There’s nothing quite like standing at the summit of a mountain, capturing an epic sunset, feeling the solitude of the wilderness, or walking along the beach with the waves at my feet. For me, it’s never been just about the destinations but the adventures taken and the experiences to look forward to.
The Family behind Explore A Life
We’re a family of four—Mom, Dad, and our two adventure-loving daughters!
We don’t travel full-time or live out of an RV. We have a home base, our kids go to school, and we juggle between our 9-5 and all the usual activities—swim, gymnastics, dance, and everything in between. But one thing is for sure… we love to travel!
Our goal is to show families that you can make travel a priority, even with a busy schedule. We plan trips around our full time job, school breaks, weekend getaways, and those little pockets of time that make big adventures possible.
